Making Patterns

To get the best reproduction of your original furniture, I use patterns.  This only applies to the sections that are sewed, or stitched, together.  I undo the stitching, lay the pattern out and steam it flat.  Then, I make any adjustments while cutting. Makes for a perfect fit every time.

Birds at the Upholstery Shop

This Spring is great for birds at the upholstery shop.  Of particular interest: Blue Birds, Baltimore Orioles, Pine Warbler, Cat Birds, Redwing Blackbirds, Cardinals, Flickers, Downey Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Nut Hatchers, Tufted Titmouse, all the Finches & Sparrows, Wild Turkey, Osprey, Hawks and Turkey Vultures.

New Product

Denier Microfiber is a new fiber fill for loose cushions. The fibers are long curly strands that that lock together when compressed.  The result is a more resilient fiber with a good memory. A great hypoallergenic substitute for down and feather at about half the price.  It can be used as a solid cushion fill or in combination with a foam insert.  This is a special order item from West Coast Down and Feather.  Plan about 3 weeks or less when ordering.

Design Your Own Fabric

Create custom fabric online using KarmaKraft.com.  Upload your own fabric design and order custom digitally printed 58 inch fabric.  There is no set-up fee or minimums, and colors are unlimited.  You can choose from fabrics like cotton, polyester, linen and silk.  KarmaKraft uses reactive and disperse dyes in it’s fabrics, making for more vivid colors, easier care and a softer hand.
